To edit an existing diagram, you can either edit the macro in Edit page mode or use the Edit diagram - button in page view. On the left side you have a palette including the BPMN 2.0 elements - simply drag and drop them on the canvas. Element types can be changed via the wrench symbol at each drawn element individually.
For a perfect modeling flow, you may append the next element directly from the last added element by clicking on the suggested options to continue. This will also automatically insert connecting flow elements.
There are tools to optimize your modeling experience.
These two can be found in the left pallet:
Space Tool: add or remove space between elements
Lasso Tool: capture and selection of elements at once
Additional functionalities are accessible via the navigation bar:
Undo and redo your last changes (via Edit)

Export
You can export your diagram as PNG, SVG and XML (.bpmn) file. This can be done in different ways:
in page view via the export buttons located at the diagram (BPMN and PNG)
in diagram editor and fullview / presentation mode:
via the buttons in toolbar (BPMN and PNG)
in the navbar via File→ Export (BPMN, PNG and SVG)
Furthermore, the table representation of the diagram can be exported as a CSV file via File → Export CSV while in table mode.
Import
There are two different ways to import diagrams.
Firstly, you can import standard-compliant .bpmn files directly from your local file system. To import a standard-conform .bpmn file in diagram editor:
go to File → Import
or drag and drop the file directly onto the diagram editor canvas
Alternatively, diagrams from other Confluence pages can also be imported via File→ Import from Confluence page. In this case you can choose whether you want to import all versions or only the latest one of the diagram using the Carry Version History toggle. Note that older versions of the diagram into which you are importing are not lost but still easily accessible in the version management and dropdown after the import.
Note that diagram versions imported from another Confluence page are not directly published on the Confluence page, even if you entered the diagram editor from the Confluence page view. You can change this by clicking Publish this version now in the message box showing up directly after the import. For more information on how versions are published on the Confluence page please refer to the section "Published and Unpublished Versions" of this manual.
