The token simulation enables you to visualize the execution of your process by sending a token along the sequence flow. You can reflect upon different executions by simulating different outcomes at the gateways.

This simulation does not support all elements. Only those that are listed here are supported:

• Abstract Task

• Abstract Start Event

• Abstract End Event

• Intermediate Event

• XOR Gateway

• AND Gateway

• Closed Subprocess

• Call Activity

• Terminate End Event

• Event-based Gateway

The token simulation can simulate all BPMN elements except for:

• OR Gateway

• Transactions

• Cancel Events

• Compensation Tasks

• Compensation EventsR

You can use the token simulation in the diagram editor and presentation mode. To toggle the token simulation : go to View → Toggle Token Simulation.
